look at, education.wetpaint.com
- they no longer have ad free sites
- students under 13 cannot register
- they do have examples of how wikis have been used in education
- they do have wiki templates for education wikis
- there are examples of classroom wikis, student created wikis, group project wikis
Are the problems, age registration and advertisements, able to be overcome OR does this mean that educators can no longer use wetpaint as a wiki server???
ReplyDeleteTry wikispaces.com. They have ad-free k-12 wikis. Wetpaint kinda sux these days, imo. Also check out http://pbworks.com/content/edu-basic-edition. I haven't looked closely into this wikiservice lately (used to be pbwiki), but it might be worthwhile checking out.
