creative collaboration
From: A handbook from FutureLab_2004
'Why the focus on 'creative collaboration'
Two reasons are cited: the rapidly changing world, and research?? anacdotal?? (not sure where this idea has originated) That learning is also becoming seen to be done more effectively using collaboration- peer to peer.
They offer two case studies: Virtual puppeteers and Media stage. Both are a kind of virtual world type program. Students control character, in puppeteers the characters are 'fictional type' in media stage they are 'real world type'. It is 3D storytelling. Conclusion was that ' effective collaboration was supported through tools and effective classroom supportive environments.'
